There are several ways that Spices Inc can supply you with high quality spices to sell to your customers. That includes both bulk spices and custom blending. However, if you own a store or would like to start selling spices on your own perhaps you don’t have the time or space to be filling the jars on your own. That’s where our private label program may benefit you.
We do all the heavy lifting which means that we can get your label setup, we’ll label the jars, fill ’em, seal ’em, and ship ’em right to your doorstep so you can focus on all the other things you’d need to when running a business. Our customers range from restaurants with gift shops, olive oil stores, independent spice and tea shops, deli’s, small gourmet markets, caterers, appliance installers (who would’ve thought?), and we’ve done special events. Because of this we have acquired a wealth of knowledge on ways to make the program work best for you. We’ve worked with shops with smaller test budgets of around $500 all the way up to robust roll outs of $10,000+ so no matter what the size of business you are we can help you maximize your investment.
We only offer one size for the private label program and that is a 1/2 cup glass jar. If you’d like to see more info on the jar you can check out it’s product page. We will not accept outside packaging or labeling under any circumstances.
One of the advantages that Spices Inc has on other private label spice companies is that our minimums are much smaller. Instead of having to order in the hundreds of cases our minimum is just six cases per order. One case consists of 12 jars. You can’t mix and match an individual case, but not all six cases have to be the same product.
There are two reasons that we don’t require larger minimums. The first one being that we want to encourage customers to test out their ideas without having to fill an entire store room or garage with spices. The second is that we want to ensure that you’re giving your customers the freshest quality product you can offer and since everything we do is filled to order the more frequently you order the fresher the spices are going to be. We also get reorders out the door the same day so you don’t have to worry about being out of stock for long.
From start to finish the setup usually takes about a week. Once we get your logo we’ll start working on the mockup label for your approval. At that point we can start working on setting up your products on our end. With the label and your opening order all set to go we’ll fill it and et it out the door!
There is a one-time setup fee of $100 per label design. This isn’t per product, but if you want some labels to have red accents and some to have blue accents then it’d be $100 for each different design.
After the initial setup reorders are typically shipped same day as long as they are in by 3 PM ET.
The simplest way to get started is to send us a high-res copy of your logo so we can apply it to our template. We typically take your logo and pull some of the colors to accent it. The label only features your contact info so there is nothing leading your customers back to us.
If you’ve already developed your branding and have a label designed we can certainly take a look at it to see if we can work it into our system, but we can’t make any promises. For example, we don’t do labels that have full colored backgrounds or edge bleeds. Also, all labels would need to be printed here in our facility in order for it to work. We won’t take preprinted labels to apply them to the jars.
